President’s Message

My warmest greetings to the Members and Officers of the Philippine
College of Hospital Administrators on this 37th Annual Convention
and Induction Ceremonies on November 21, 2012
at the Century Park Hotel.

This gathering sets a perfect venue to reaffirm our support
and commitment to excellence on healthcare management
and professionalizing the practice of hospital administration.
I am privileged to have worked with a set of dedicated,
committed, and hardworking Board of Regents in serving
the College. My appreciation also goes to the Immediate
Past President for guiding and assisting me during the
time of transition when things have to be placed in its
proper order and function. In a way, the year 2012 is a
significant year for the College. For the first time, the
three major regions of the country (Luzon, Visayas,
and Mindanao) are well represented in the Board. What a dynamic
group indeed… working together, sharing ideas and expertise, and unselfishly
utilizing their time and resources in the support of the organization. Systems review, needs assessment, and improvement of PCHA’s operation were implemented.

The Convention’s theme: “Beyond Vision: Knowing to Plan Your Hospital’s Future”, is timely, considering the different challenges and demands that we are confronted with as well as finding balance for its viability and sustainability. Innovations and appropriate strategies to address pressing healthcare issues should be worked on among us and other stakeholders as we push significant contributions and reforms on the healthcare sector.

I therefore congratulate the Chairman and Organizing Committee for a job well done and wishing success to PCHA in its 37th Annual Convention and in the years to come.

Let us continue working together and encourage stronger cooperation and unity among all Members of the Philippine College of Hospital Administrators.

Mabuhay tayong lahat.

ELMER Q. PEDREGOSA, MD, MPH, MHA, FPCHA
